Controversy Over The World Cup Soccer Ball

Even though the World Cup ball is nicknamed Jabulani — which means "celebrate" in Zulu — it's making the players want to go into mourning. They say the ball is too light, too round and moves waaaay too fast. Melissa Block interviews Kevin Baxter, who is covering the World Cup for the L.A. Times, about the controversy surrounding this year's World Cup ball.

Is Xocai a Pyramid Scheme or a Scam?

This information was actually put together by Landon Lamley in response to one of his friends asking him if Xocai is a Pyramid Scheme. We do get this question a lot in our line of business and I would like to address this question by expanding on Landon's information because he has answered it so well.

Genius Pianist

"Li is more than just technique. His playing has soul and poetry. The gentle lyricism of the mazurkas (music for a kind of Polish dance) is idiomatic and musical, the phrasing at once elegant and idiomatic."

Comments like the above went to the youngest prizewinner in the history of the Warsaw International Chopin Competition. In 2000, the 18-year-old Chinese pianist Yundi Li took the gold medal at the 14th Warsaw International Chopin Competition, becoming the first pianist in 15 years to be deemed worthy of the top prize. (Chopin was a famous composer born in Poland.)

My Friend Guitar

꽤 멋진 기타.
종례후 놓고간 기타를 돌려주러 가기위해 가방을 들어보니
내 기타보다 무게가 더 나가는것같다.

내 건 한손으로도 들정도로 가벼우니...

World’s Most Expensive Roller Skates

Jam skating—think figure skating on roller skates to pop rock and hip hop—has gained legitimacy since the World Skating Association became its official sanctioning body in 2001. Jam skaters tend to use specialized skates with low-cut shoes and specialized plugs instead of toe stops.
It should be littler surprise, then, that this form of skating has also produced the most expensive roller skates in the world.
Riedell’s Phaze skate features the 951 boot, hand-made to order specifically for jam skating. This leather boot alone is $460. The boot is placed on Riedell’s PowderDyne Reactor Aluminum Plate with their Bone Swiss bearings, Radar Zodiac wheels and, of course, a jam plug.
The skate retails at a staggering $799 and can be purchased in sizes 4 to 13.

Mommas, please don't let your babies grow up to play with toy guns....

Dear the Parents who walked around The Palo Alto, California Avenue Farmer's Market today, with a boy on your shoulder, carrying a toy gun, that looked very, very real, and pretending to shoot at everybody walking by:
Maybe I am being somewhat critical and judgmental.  I am the mom of two girls, who have never played with toy guns, and have no interest in toy guns.  Maybe I just live in the middle of liberal, hippy land, where we teach our kids kumbaya, saving the environment, getting George Bush out of office and hold liberal points of view.  I don't know, maybe I am over-reacting.  But when I saw your four (maybe five) year old son on your shoulders, carrying a toy gun (gosh, I certainly hope it was a toy gun, and not REAL!) and pretending to shoot everyone in the crowd, I just had to judge you.

What is a cat with black and yellow fur called?

What is a cat with black and yellow fur called?
A:
From your description, it might be a tortoise shell. They are primarily black with either streaks or marble yellow fur, they are always female (rare to have a male tortie). If there is any white, it would be a calico, but they don't have yellow, it's more tan.

So I bought a new camera…

Spent all my credit card reward points (and about another $900 in cash) and picked up a new video camera. It’ll probably mostly get used at work, for instances where we need a smaller camera that an idiot like myself can use. I shot a bunch of stuff at Wrestlemania with it, just to sort of break it in. It’s a Sony HDR-XR520V and so far, it seems great. Definitely better than the $130 Polaroid video cameras I bought off Woot, but those cameras have now become, like, disposable. Maybe we’ll strap them to skateboards and roll them down a hill or something.

7 Electric Motorcycles You Must See

There's nothing wrong with "cool", and we have to admit that few vehicles are cooler than bikes (at least in theory - not all of us would ride one). You're basically sitting on an engine with wheels. Can't get much simpler than that. They're not always practical, but the people who love their bikes really love them.

Airbus A380

A lot of people travel by airplane and a lot of people are fond of Lego therefore it didn’t take long before someone combined these two and created the biggest Lego airplane in the world. The Lego airplane was inspired by the Airbus A380 (world’s largest passenger airplane) and it’s scaled at 1:25 measuring 9.5-foot long, 10.5-foot wingspan and 3.2-foot tall.

Peace by our back door

This is the second time around for doves nesting in the wreath by our back door. I’m sure it’s the same pair who devotedly cared for two eggs, taking turns in shifts as they are now. The chick in the second thumbnail is from the first brood hatched in May. It mysteriously disappeared after two days and the other egg didn’t hatch. There was no trace of that chick anywhere..no body, bones, feathers..nothing. It was not old enough to fend for itself – could the parents have eaten it I wonder?
